Plain English: Grammar, usage, punctuation, spelling, tense consistency, and continuity of fact (eye color, timeline, who-knows-what). Conforms the text to a style sheet.

Rule: Mechanical correctness and internal consistency. In this project the continuity half is enforced by the gate (re-ingest + check_constraints); the language half is a human/ style-sheet pass.

Fail: Letting continuity errors through (the object in two places, the forgotten fact) — the class the StoryGraph and timeline exist to catch.
