Two-layer timeline / braid

← Craft Glossary · Structure & Story

Plain English: Two chronologies running at once — the present-day quest and the ancient past — that braid together (converge) by the end. The braid "closing" means both threads resolve into one.

In this project: The gate asserts the braid closes in Act III and no time-fragment is left orphaned.
