Architectural blueprint (or just "blueprint")

← Craft Glossary · Structure & Story

Plain English: The locked, top-level decision about how a book is shaped — its skeleton — chosen before a word is drafted. Like an architect's drawing: it doesn't say what colour the walls are, it says where the load-bearing walls go.

In this project: RELIC's blueprint is the quest-relay / set-piece chain (deliberately unlike book 1's crisis-loop or book 2's chain-of-proof). The blueprint decides the rules everything else obeys.
