Twenty-seven years building enterprise software: banking, SaaS, architecture, technical leadership, all banked into one thing I now do for myself and for the teams I choose. I am opening a new chapter as an independent consultant working with a small number of companies on pragmatic AI adoption and production SaaS delivery, while building Arjuna Badger Press into a real publishing platform. The direction of travel is exactly that: to write, to build, and to do it from the road.
Summary
I build useful systems, not demos. Twenty-seven years of enterprise software development (banking, enterprise SaaS, product portfolios, technical leadership, architecture, and hands-on code) sit behind everything here. That depth is the point: I can talk strategy, but I can also read the code, find the bottleneck, and ship.
I am now independent, taking on a small number of consulting engagements where that background is directly useful: AI product adoption, SaaS architecture, API and automation design, technical rescue work, delivery-system diagnosis, and developer workflows that combine human judgement with AI capability. I work with a handful of companies at a time, on purpose. Depth over volume.

Building a static-first reader shell where users can import their own EPUB, PDF, and audiobook files without an account or upload, then optionally buy ebooks, audiobooks, or print copies later.

Sabbatical - Homesteading
Researched and started small-scale homesteading projects including microgreens, medicinal and culinary mushroom cultivation, chickens, coop building, and future hydroponic/aquaponic vegetable gardening, while teaching homeschooled children entrepreneurship and farm-to-fork living.
Technical Lead
Reported to the Head of Software Engineering, led the development team, defined technical vision, aligned stakeholders, mentored developers, managed delivery risks, and maintained regular communication with clients, third parties, and internal teams.

Focused on quality, cross-cutting, and non-functional concerns including security, scalability, and maintainability, while identifying and reporting delivery and architectural risks.
Product Development Manager
Managed three Product Owners and eleven Developers responsible for the portfolio of Mezzanine SaaS products.
Team Lead / Technical Lead
Managed and provided technical leadership for three teams of architects, analyst developers, developers, and programmers using C#, Java, and T-SQL. Worked on solutions architecture for high-volume, high-performance online and batch processing systems, coached team leaders, interviewed and hired across teams, and drove DevOps and automation evangelism.
Designed and developed a JSON command-line driven test data provisioning and automation framework in C#, including middleware for command-line execution of core banking transactions to simulate client-triggered interactions.

An agent-memory skill for coding assistants: keep the lesson, lose the dream. The tool consolidates long working sessions into durable project memory instead of forcing a choice between context bloat and total reset.
AI manuscript and continuity pipeline
A book-production system using canon contracts, chapter workflows, multi-role editorial passes, continuity checks, StoryGraph-style structure gates, and de-LLM scanners to protect authorial voice.
Generated public library
A pure-stdlib static generator that builds the public catalogue, book pages, read-online pages, downloads, RSS, sitemap, PWA metadata, and self-owned author/platform pages.
