The Firmament

DRAFT: For twelve generations they knew the truth: the world is a flat disc under a firmament, ringed by ice. They were right — about a world the size of a lifeboat. A sealed post-flare arcology, a redacted scripture passed hand to hand as samizdat, and the one who walks through the ice wall and onto the round Earth, where the forbidden verses come true one by one.
